Singapore continues to remain one of the world's major commercial hubs, one of the largest financial centers, and one of the busiest ports.

Singapore is home to the Presidential Palace or Istana, the residence and work place of the President of the Coalition, and the Capital Building, home to the State Assembly, as well as the Supreme Court building.

The Mayor of Singapore is Low Thia Khiang (SDP) and it's represented in the regional and national government by Governor Tan Jee Say (SPP) as well as Governor-General Melati Cinta (Central Coalition).
