1836 - Texas remains independent from either sides of the Mexican-American War.

1866 - The Confederate States of America makes a successful spearhead into West Virginia in the former United States, resulting in a white peace and the fabrication of an official nation in the southeastern states.
1869 - The Confederate States of America purchased Cuba from the former Spanish Empire.
